Gudibande Fort
A Fort with a Story
Gudibande Fort dates back roughly 400 years to the 17th century. The fort is traditionally associated with Byre Gowda, a local chieftain and yogi who is believed to have built the fort. He was also believed to have belonged to the Tuluva dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire.
Standing at an altitude of around 826 metres, the fort offers an opportunity to experience both Karnataka's historical character and its open hilltop landscapes. Reaching the top around sunrise adds a memorable dimension to the experience as the morning light spreads across the surrounding countryside.

On the day of departure, you will also be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group for the trek, where you will receive the pickup location, reporting time, coordinator details, and other important trip instructions. Yes, trekkers can join as first-time or solo participants. A trek leader will guide the group throughout the trek, and participants are expected to stay with the group and follow the trek leader's instructions and applicable safety guidelines.
